Making is Better Together
Make things. Meet people. Get inspired. Try something new.
Our Made to Make workshops bring people together for fun, creative experiences. Grab your friends and enjoy a night out full of learning and laughing. We curate the best northern Michigan makers to run workshops in which our guests learn new creative skills—from weaving to watercolor—while connecting with others.
When was the last time you learned a new skill? Made something with your hands? Got out of your comfort zone? Tapped into your creative side? It feels good to break life’s routine and try something new. And it’s even better when done together.
We all have a creative side yearning to come out. So come join us—you’re made to make!
Our Made to Make Workshops take place the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Workshops take place in “The Yurt” at The Little Fleet in downtown Traverse City. The talented mixologists at The Little Fleet create a craft cocktail for each workshop. Cocktails, creativity, and a great playlist to set the mood—what could be better!
Calling all Makers
Interested in Teaching a Workshop?
We’re always on the lookout for talented makers interested in leading one of our workshops. We want to offer our attendees a wide range of workshops featuring watercolor, calligraphy, figure drawing, jewelry-making, floral arrangements, needle punching, wood-burning, weaving, abstract painting, candle making, embroidery, ceramics, and more! If you have a creative skill and a knack for leading a group (up to 25 people), we want to hear from you. Earn extra money, promote yourself and your brand, and have fun in the process!
You Have Questions? We Have Answers!
1. What if I’m a total beginner in a creative discipline? Can I still attend a workshop?
All are welcome at our workshops—there’s no experience necessary. You’ll be creating in a fun, super low pressure environment. Workshops are geared toward beginners. All you need to have is enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new!
2. What if I can’t make it to a workshop I registered for? Do you offer refunds?
A lot of planning goes into each workshop, space is limited, and materials are purchased in advance for each attendee. Accordingly, you may cancel for a full refund 21 days in advance of a workshop start date. Cancellations made within 14 days can be applied as a credit towards another workshop. Cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop are non-refundable.
3. Do you offer workshops for parties, bridal showers, corporate events, and other private gatherings?
Short answer: Not yet. But we’re working on it! If you’re interested in hosting a private Made to Make workshop for your guests, please email Heather Harrington at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re in the process of planning our private event offerings for individuals and businesses, so we’d be happy to discuss options with you.
