Guest Workshop: Make Botanical Gel Prints & Notecards with Kristy Kurjan

Northern Michigan abstract artist Kristy Kurjan will teach this fun workshop in the Life and Whim Studio. Guests will enjoy learning and exploring how to create beautiful prints from nature using the gel print technique. Various leaves and natural materials will create unique prints on paper. Guests will take home a lovely set of 6 notecards and a set of pretty prints that can be framed.
This workshop is aimed at beginners, so don’t worry if you’ve never done printmaking! It is also suitable if you have some previous experience but would like to try a new technique and gain some new inspiration.
* Guests will make 6 nature-inspired botanical print notecards (and envelopes) and a set of prints to take home, which can be framed.
* All supplies will be provided.
* The Workshop is limited to 16 people and will appear "sold out" when filled. Advance purchase is necessary to attend.
* Refreshments and light bites will be provided.

Kristy Kurjan is an intuitive abstract artist specializing in large-scale paintings based out of Traverse City, Michigan. She is inspired by nature, textures, and the extensive beauty of northern Michigan. Her passion lies in the process of creating art that evokes emotion and brings joy to others. Water, landscapes, and organic beauty are often depicted in her works. In addition to her works of art, she has authored and published four books and written for numerous publications. Her board book titles include: I Spy… A Pig in A Plane, Nap-a-Roo, Dream Sweet Dreams, and The Many Ways to Say I Love You.
