Inspired by Dolly Parton’s colorful spirit and wisdom for living a joyful life, this workshop introduces two creative techniques, fabric-covered matting and traditional metal tooling, to create a one-of-a-kind framed keepsake.

Heather will first guide you through covering a pre-cut mat with your choice of a joyful blue floral, vibrant pink floral or tailored neutral stripe. You’ll then learn how to emboss a short quote by Dolly onto gold-toned aluminum, adding your own imagery and hand-tooled details before assembling everything inside a 10×10 white frame with a coordinating ribbon hanger.

Choose from a curated collection of uplifting phrases, including “Shine Where You Are,” or create a short mantra that speaks to you.

No art experience is needed, just come ready to create, experiment and have a little fun!

Your workshop includes:

• Instruction in fabric-covered matting and metal tooling

• All art materials, including fabric, gold-toned aluminum, frame and ribbon

• A choice of three curated fabrics

• Your finished 10×10 framed artwork to take home

• Refreshments and sweet treats

Want to use a fabric that better fits your home? You’re welcome to bring ½ yard of your own lightweight, non-stretch cotton fabric. Small- to medium-scale prints work best. Please avoid stretchy, sheer or heavy upholstery fabrics.
